Spirit of Aggieland

Jeremy started singing the Spirit of Aggieland as one of the kids bedtime songs and they are learning the words! It's so cute! We are starting our Aggie traditions young!
I couldn't post the video so here's the link to the video on facebook:

August

Jeremy is back at work enjoying his new job as Asst. Principal at Mountainview Elementary. The kids and I have been home alot this month, not many activities going on in Aug. and it is too hot to go outside. We did join the YMCA this month which has been great, the kids love going to play there and I do exercise classes, and we go to the pool too! Brady has gotten too big for his crib! He never climbed out but he could have. So we turned his crib into a toddler bed and he likes it. He usually takes a two hour nap still. We had to clear out most of the things in his room though because he would play, he even empties his drawers sometimes. One time I came in his room he had put all his stuffed animals to bed on the floor with a blanket on each one.

Here he is playing with his hotwheel cars, he likes those now. He still plays with his trains and he loves to follow Brianna around and copy what she says and does. He also loves to jump off the couch and to go swimming.

Here is Brianna packing her bag to go to Uncle Chris' house. She still loves playing baby. She also loves to change her clothes by herself several times a day! She still does nap time each day but sometimes she just plays in her room for some rest time instead.

Twins? I get asked all the time if they are twins. :) They weigh the same and wear the same size but Brianna is still a little taller. They play so cute together.

It has been too hot to do outdoor activites this summer, most days are 105 degrees. But we go out for a few minutes some days and the kids like their car from their cousins!
Brianna is getting better at pedaling the tricycle too.

Weekend in Austin

We took at little trip to Austin to have some family fun! The kids loved spending time with Uncle Chad and staying at his house! Their favorite part of his house is the stairs. :) And we got to use his neighborhood pool that has a frog slide into the baby pool- it was great!
We went to the Austin Children's Museum. Brady liked playing drums with Uncle Chad.

Brianna liked the tools with Daddy.

We also went to this great Jumpy place, they had about 8 huge blowups!

Mommy even got to jump on them with the kids, it was so fun!

Then we found this great indoor playground that both kids loved!

It was a fun time in Austin! :)

Shoe Size Milestone

Brianna's shirt says I'm the big sister, but guess what - Brady just passed up Brianna in shoe size! We had their feet measured at a shoe store the other day and Brady's size jumped like two sizes. We get comments all the time asking if they are twins. It won't be much longer till he passes her in height either we think. That's our big boy! :)

Summer Update

Well, last summer we were dealing with trying to sell our house and getting ready for our move, so we thought this summer would be very relaxing, but then Jeremy got laid off so instead he spent the whole summer applying, interviewing, looking for a job. We are so thankful that he was able to get a different Asst. Principal job with Waco ISD! God is good! So now we are enjoying the rest of the summer with Jeremy starting work very soon.
Here is Brianna reading Brady a bedtime story :) so cute! Brianna has been having fun this summer with Daddy home, going to the lake, VBS, the library, some b-day parties, sprinkler parks (she really likes those this year). It's been too hot to do anything outside unless it involves water. We tried the dollar movie theater but we had to leave early, both kids still aren't interested in sitting through a whole movie. She loves the backyard baby pool and she had fun planting a flower garden today!

Here she is playing with her babies. She likes to play that the bad guy or bad queen is trying to get her baby- too many disney movies I guess. :)

Brady has been having fun with Daddy home too. Here he is with his Thomas the train. We got this bridge and he played with it for days so then we found this train table on craigs list and got it for a great deal! He plays with his trains every day. He talks about Thomas, Percy, and James every day. His whole face lights up when the Thomas train TV show comes on and he watches the whole thing. He is crazy about his trains- so cute! He also loves playing with Brianna, running around with her playing babies, he copies what she says, it's precious!

I treasure every day I have staying home with Brianna and Brady and I'm thankful to continue my new job as Stay at Home Mom!!

Our house remodeling and decorating

We've been in our house for about 4 months now and I'm happy to say that we are done unpacking and decorating! We closed on the house 7 months ago and have done a lot of work on remodeling it. Here are the details: Here you can see the new windows from Window World that we got throughout the house and the shutters that Jeremy painted. You can also see the white roses that are growing there. :)

In the living room we painted the walls, got crown moulding put in, you can see the new curtains and area rug. Jeremy also painted the fireplace and now it looks like new. We put new ceiling fans in several rooms. In the foyer we took down wallpaper and painted.

I love this wall decor in the living room, I found most of it at Hobby Lobby and the pictures are the kids last three years so I can see how much they have changed.

In the master bedroom you can see the new carpet that we put in all the bedrooms. New curtains, new sage paint. We also found some Venice, Pisa, and Paris pictures for the wall to go with our photos of when we went there.

The master bathroom we got new counter tops from Miracle Method, new mirrors, lights, fresh white paint on the cabinets, we took off wallpaper and painted the walls a coffee color.

We painted Brianna's room pink and purple with pink and purple curtains. I love the little curtain tiebacks we found at lowe's. She loves her new trundle bed and dresser.

We organized all her toys into bins in her closet with cute curtain doors. Some windows we replaced the blinds.

Our frog bathroom with new tile floor.

Brady's room we painted navy and grey.

The study/guest room (the couch turns into a bed) and the kids call this room the book room because all of their books are in the lowest baskets. We also have a little black desk in this room that Jeremy found on Craigs List, it is perfect for our laptop and I have my framed space shuttle pic that I love above that that all my co-workers signed.

New red paint in the kitchen, new tile floors. (You can see Brianna's cute pony tail, her hair is finally long enough even though she rarely wants her hair up and Brady is in the booster seat now, no more high chair- sad!)

New counter tops, new tile backsplash, new sink with disposal, and new microwave.

It was a lot of work, quite different from when we moved into our Pearland home that we built brand new, but we are very happy with how it all turned out!!

Beach House 2011

We had so much fun at the Galveston beach house my parents rented this year! And we got to celebrate Grandpa's 65th birthday while we were there! :)

Here are the cousins playing with Uncle Chris in the evening.

Here is Tanner and Brady at the Railroad museum. We got to climb on all kinds of trains and we had fun riding a train!

Here are the cousins taking a break on the strand.

Uncle Chris building a sandcastle with Kyler and Brianna.

Brady loved pushing this truck in the sand.

We went on the paddleboat at Moody Gardens (that's where Jeremy and I got engaged :)

And the Moody Gardens aquarium!

See the penquins!

See the dinosaurs! Brady was nervous about those!

See the monkey behind us in the rainforest!

Our kids first movie in a theater! We saw Dora 4D, they loved it!
