Brady's 1st Haircut

Brady's hair was getting long in the back so we took him to get his first haircut at the same place we took Brianna. (Click to see those old pictures) He didn't enjoy it like Brianna did, he didn't even want to sit in the seat at first. So here is the before shot.
You can see how long it was in the back.

He was okay at the beginning.

But then he did not like the close clippers or the scissors! A boy haircut was much worse than a girl haircut! Brianna was watching the whole thing intently.

All done! He looks like a big boy now! He's almost 14 months.

Short in the back. :)

Summer Update

We are enjoying our time with Daddy off for the summer! Mommy is still working 3 days a week at NASA. So we enjoy the long weekends together. Here are some pictures at the Bayou Wildlife Park- Brianna and Brady loved feeding the animals and Brianna had fun riding the pony! We are also enjoying going to the zoo, playing in the pool at our waterbabies class, and getting together with friends. Daddy is going to start Daddy day care in July when our babysitter stops working due to her pregnancy- we will miss you Alfredia!
Also Brady has started saying a few words-mama, dada, bubba, uh-oh, ow, and hi! He will probably start walking soon!

The ostrich was loving the food!

Our 10th Anniversary Trip!

Jeremy and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary June 3rd! Jeremy found this beautiful place with little hidden cabins called Hideaway Ranch near Glen Rose, TX that we stayed at! We had a great time! It was far from town down a dirt road!
They had great restaurants nearby, this poboy was at Loco Coyote! It was the best BBQ!

There were several hiking trails at the ranch and lots of animals, llamas, horses, longhorns, chickens.

This was the view from our cabin.

The inside of our cabin. It was decorated so nice. The owner of the place was so sweet too! They had a chuck wagon dinner on Sat. night!

The outside of our cabin. We had a hot tub on the porch!

We also did a vow renewal at the ranch. They have a pastor who comes and does a little ceremony at sunset. It was so neat!

Thanks to Jeremy for planning this weekend and thanks to my brother and sister-in-law for watching the kids for us! :)

Florida Trip to see the Shuttle Launch!

After working on the Space Shuttle flight software for 10 years I finally got to go see a launch at KSC in Florida. It was an awesome experience! My good friend and co-worker Jennifer went with me and we had so much fun! First I got to fly on the company jet which is the only way to fly! We got to park right near the plane at Elington and then just walk on board, they didn't even check ID, no security, no instructions at the beginning of the flight, and lots of good food and drinks! The flight went great, it is very small inside though, and we flew into Orlando because the airport by KSC was restricted due to the launch. So the only bad part of the trip was driving 3 1/2 hours to get to KSC when it normally takes 45 min. There were so many people going to see the launch we got in a huge traffic jam. So we were worried about missing the launch but we got there 30 min. before and made it to the employee viewing site just in time! It was an amazing site to see! There is a video at the end of this post. And then we got to tour several buildings at KSC and stay at a hotel on Cocoa Beach for the weekend! It was a great trip! And Jeremy and the kids survived while mommy was gone, he did a great job taking care of them!

Here is the company plane
Here is right before the launch

I also got to see an old friend and co-worker who works in Florida now, Christian!
And we did some other activities while we were there like an airboat ride, going to the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, and going to the beach
